I know and understand weddings through my involvement at hundreds of weddings, studying wedding etiquette and completing a wedding planners course. An outstanding wedding DJ can make a world of difference to the success of your day; with over 20 years experience and a wealth of knowledge and helpful advice I can help you have the wedding of your dreams. The music chosen for your wedding helps put your own stamp on the day. The evening reception can literally make or break your wedding and the biggest concern for many couples is that no one will dance and the dance floor will be empty. So how do I encourage all of your guests to celebrate your day in style with lots of dancing? The answer is simple. By creating the right atmosphere as well as playing the music that you and your guests enjoy. Sometimes great music alone is not enough to encourage your guests onto the dance floor and this is where an experienced wedding DJ comes into their own. Playing the Right Music
Tell me the songs and type of music you love the most. It’s also important to let me know what you dislike.
This helps me focus on putting together the perfect wedding DJ set for you. If I was to play weak or little known songs your guests would quickly get bored and become disconnected from the music and the atmosphere would suffer. We will build a briliant atmosphere by playing the big hits that your friends and family remember from school, parties, nights out, holidays and other past celebrations you’ve enjoyed together. Making these connections with past memories and blending these with your current favourites, we will create new memories you and they will treasure for a lifetime. The skill I provide is in sequencing and linking songs to transition between genres to keep people dancing and encourage other guests to join in as we go and the result is a packed dance floor! It’s a constantly changing situation so it’s also really important to pay close attention and take the music up or down a gear as and when required and picking the right tracks at the right time so an indepth knowledge of the music is required to do this. Sometimes one of the hardest things to do is get people off their seat in the first place, even more so after they have just had a big meal, dancing is perhaps not the first thing that people would choose to do. I can employ a few subtle but tried and tested techniques to get your guests up and moving, so I don’t just rely on playing great music, as this alone may not be enough.

Planning Your DayWe plan the music for your special day and discuss the sequence and timings of key part of your wedding day and any traditional events you are planning to include.
This will include the music, sequence and timings of for the spotlight moments including:
I help you involve your guests in selecting the music for the evening celebration if this is something that you would like to do. On the day itself I'm also happy to encourage your guests to make requests. Where a band or singer is also booked I work with them to ensure any shared space works well. I also ensure that any music played does not overlap with the proposed set list. |
Master of Ceremonies
I can also act as the Master of Ceremonies making announcements and introductions at key points during the day.
This can help keep your wedding celebration to time and ensure your guests are where they need to be when they need to be there. This works well coordinating with venue staff and any wedding planner. |

Other Services
Where I am required throughout the day I can make available my radio microphones and p.a. system for your speeches.
Where I am not required throughout the day I can still make available a p.a. system and radio microphones and can provide details of costs if required. I can also set up a separate p.a. and music play out system outside or in a separate room if required. We have a range of uplighters or mood lighting which can be used to enhance your venue providing accent lighting to match your wedding colour scheme. For any event, LED uplighting dramatically changes the look of any room or marquee and really gives that amazing WOW factor.
