Health and Safety - Covid-19 Safe Events
All measures will follow the latest government advice and be updated as and when required.
Currently their are restrictions in place relating to social distancing, the number of attendees at specific events e.g. Weddings there is a limit of 30 guests including suppliers, socially distanced group size, music volume, singing, dancing and participation in spotlight moments.
All guidelines have been informed by guidance from the World health organisation, government advice and event expert to keep events safe for clients and their guests, event staff and suppliers and myself.
All these steps and guidelines may not 100% prevent the spread of Covid-19 and there is the possibility that the spread of covid-19 could happen if all these steps were taken flawlessly
All guidelines will be followed where the event is permitted within the guidance from the government.
I will arrange a courtesy call with the client after the booking confirmation and 10 days prior to the event to discuss any health and safety concerns regarding the event and to discuss any specific requirements they may have.
I will contact the venue to discuss how health and safety can be maximized at the clients event.
I will prepare an event specific risk assessment prior to each event so as to take account of any venue or event specific issues.
I will follow any locally developed systems and procedures implemented by the Venue to ensure the event is Covid Safe this includes providing accurate details for the Governments Track and Trace System, sanitising hands on entry to the venue, following one way systems etc
Prior to the event all parties will be aware of how the event will run and what is expected from both the client and supplier to ensure a safe event.
If I contract any symptoms like (high temperature/ a new cough/loss of taste and smell) or any form of sickness prior to the event I will inform the client and use my best endeavours to source an alternative supplier so that the event can continue regardless.
As an alternative to face to face consultations with the client, I offer virtual consultations via platforms such as Zoom, Skype or Face-time.
On the day of the event, I will wash my hands frequently throughout the day with soap and water for 20 seconds and use hand sanitiser frequently. I will wipe down all surfaces within the immediate vicinity of my performance area with antibacterial wipes.
I will be equipped with tissue at events to cover my nose and mouth should I sneeze or cough, any tissue would be disposed of and my hands washed immediately with soap and water or hand sanitizer.
All equipment is deep cleaned before and after any event. This includes any cables, mixers, speakers or any bags used to transport equipment.
Any equipment that is shared with a client for example a microphone will be santised immediately before and after use. I will take additional equipment to reduce the possibility of sharing equipment to an absolute minimum.
A face covering will be worn during the event.
Any surfaces that are frequently touched will be cleaned and sanitised before leaving the premises.
I will seek to avoid direct interaction with the guests and will provide the client and guests with my contact number so they can call or text to request songs or dedications.
Checklist for events:
These guidelines will be continued to be updated as further restrictions are lifted or reimposed.
