Well this was a truly special and interesting wedding in a venue I've not had the pleasure of before.
I must admit the prospect of DJng in Britain's most haunted castle was a little bit daunting. It's definitely a very eerie and has an authentic period feel with no real attempt to update and modernise the place.
A nice easy load in to the Grand Hall albeit after a tricky drive in.
I set up in the Grand Hall just in front of the fireplace in the shadow of a horse ridden by the dark knight.
The room had many artefacts including a bible and some goblets which were just behind me on the fireplace.
Not all of the guests were staying on site and I don't blame them. I reckon even the spooks were dancing it was that good a Knight .. see what I did there.
If you're a bit quirky and are looking for something different then Chillingham Castle is certainly that ... oh and the grounds are fantastic. Top night and many congratulations to Megan and Chris
I took my daughter along not because I was scared or anything.
Arriving early we took the opportunity to have a wander around the castle including the dungeon, torture chamber and the absolutely fantastic gardens.
Shame we never got to see any of the famous white cattle.
Having originally thought I'd be able to use my Haze Machine I was advised that a previous DJ had managed to set the alarms off so it was no longer possible.
It was a brilliant night with dancing from the very start through till Midnight.
A first dance to a mashup I created of Wilkinson's Afterglow with a nice mix of new and old, some party cheese and some 90's dance classics, oh and I had to slip Ghostbusters in there too.
