Matt and Laura chose the Riverside Bar at the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art as the location for their wedding celebration with stunning views across the Tyne and the Millenium Bridge just a stones throw away.
Their wedding ceremony was held at the Laing Art Gallery. Guests had travelled from far and wide notably Ireland and Lincoln to join in their fantastic wedding celebration. An early set up meant a nice relaxed start to the evening. We kicked the evening off with the cake cutting followed by the First Dance with a nice little surprise mashup of Ellie Goulding How Long Will I Love You into House of Pain Jump Around and it went down a storm and from 7.15 through till 1am we had a busy old dance floor all night. Lots of requests flying in on some strategically placed and quirky song request cards. A medley of Irish classics for the Irish contingent a little later on and we even managed to fit an impromptu karaoke in. Cracking night all round. Laura said afterwards "Don’t look anywhere else for a DJ! Ian was our wedding DJ last week and our family and friends commented that it was the best night they had in years! Ian got the perfect balance of songs and had the dance floor full all evening. He even put together a mash up for our first dance 🥳 His professional friendly approach was so greatly appreciated and the extra value he provided to us with an album full of photos and videos was an unexpected delight. Ian- you are an absolutely top bloke, a cracking DJ and we are so grateful for the role you played in our special day" 💜 Many congratulations to the brand new Mr & Mrs Cunningham.

Alex and Stephanie chose the fabulous Newton Hall as the venue to host their wedding and as always it did not disappoint. Such a lovely venue with fabulous grounds.
Got to work with Dead Man's Shoes an acoustic duo who performed two sets and performed their version of James Arthur's Say You Won't Let Go as the first dance which was on the clouds. Wedding videography by Paper Bird Wedding Photography and Video and Wedding Photographs by Stephen Beecroft Photography. I provided the music before during and after Dead Man's Shoes providing a nice contrast and blend to the music and entertainments over the night. A fab day and night all round. Many congratulations to the brand new Mr and Mrs Garrow and all the very best for the future. What an absolutely fantastic day for Paul and Lauren at Le Petit Chateau.
With the sun shining and the temperature hitting tropical heights this provided the perfect backdrop to an amazing day. I provided the music throughout the day from the arrival of the first guest to the end of the evening at Midnight. No less than four separate set ups with carefully crafted music and playlists chosen by Paul and Lauren themselves to provide the perfect musical accompaniment to their special day. Lots of amazing and emotional moments throughout the day, the grand entrance was special, the first dance to Ronan Keating's When you say nothing at all, Lauren's dance with her dad Chris and some really funny and some very touching moments throughout the speeches. Some blind panic from the Bride as the Groom managed to slip in one of his tracks into the play list a bit of grunge metal, not for the faint hearted. Great working alongside staff Le Petit Chateau, One Digital Image and 2Tone Photography Many congratulations and all the very best for the future to the new Mr & Mrs Rose-Troup Dan and Courtnie decided to get married and that's exactly what they did in a quiet no fuss wedding because that's what they wanted to do.
They thought they have themselves a party after the event to allow family and friends to celebrate with them. They chose the Rockcliffe Rugby Club in Whitley Bay as the place to hold their wedding party and got in touch with me to be their DJ after they'd seen me perform at a friends wedding recently at Horton Grange Country House Hotel. I took a few photo's probably too many if that's possible but there was just so much going on and there was no official photographer there to capture the moment. You can find these on my facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/pg/IconEntertainment/photos/?tab=album&album_id=1202904789909691&__tn__=-UC-R Brilliant night and such a happy upbeat atmosphere bringing the whole of the family and friends together in an awesome celebration. And a little bit of singing to top the night off to Robbie Williams Angels. Congratulations to the brand new Mr and Mrs Taylor I know there's a lot of very special memories captured to enjoy!! As a wedding DJ serving the North East of England I get to visit some of the most outstanding wedding venues across Northumberland, County Durham and Tyne and Wear and Healey Barn is one of those I've been lucky enough to play at many times.
Garry and Jodi chose the fabulous @healeybarn as the dream destination for their wedding to celebrate with family and friends. Healey Barn never fails to deliver. A fabulous day from start to finish. I was there to provide the music throughout the day with some carefully chosen music from the Bride and Groom. I also provided the Master of Ceremony Services. A great set from the Best Singer Waiters Dave who belted out the big popular numbers and got the guests involved. A first dance to James Morrison's You Make it Real To Me got the night off to a flying start. At the end of the night the ever popular Oasis "Don't Look Back in Anger" to end the night on a high. Congratulations to the brand new Mr & Mrs Stevens A fantastic day and night celebrating the marriage of Tom and Sam at fabulous Newton Hall.
Amazing couple with lots of natural chemistry. I provided support throughout the day with some carefully selected music, calm elegant start, some special tunes chosen by the couple during the wedding ceremony, a Latin vibe to the drinks reception and acoustic covers during the wedding breakfast. Craig doing an excellent job on behalf of Newton Hall with the Master of Ceremony Services. Lots of special and emotional moments. Some very touching and funny speeches. Lots of music editing so that the music was perfect during the ceremony, entrance into the wedding breakfast and a mashup for the first dance. All part of the service you get from hiring a wedding DJ who cares about making your day special and unique. A mixed bag for the evening playlist including some T-Rex a favourite of Tom's mam Pam who was undoubtedly a very proud mam looking down on the celebrations. Many congratulations to the brand new Mr and Mrs Carney. Megan and Stephen chose to hold their wedding at the Plough Boutique Hotel in Alnwick in Northumberland.
A fabulous location with a central staircase and balconies overlooking the dancefloor Megan and Stephen chose to have a first dance to Sia's Helium. It was a lovely warm night allowing the guests to enjoy drinks on the patio. A fabulous hog roast for the evening buffet served up outside on a warm night. A dance off between a Mackem and Paddy Rasta a couple of the guests had the guests in stitches with Paddy Rasta coming out on top with a stunning robotics display. A super night for a cracking couple. Many congratulations to the new Mr & Mrs Newson Hannah and Phil chose Healey Barn for their wedding celebration and as always the venue didn't disappoint.
A Fantastic party to be the DJ at with the couple having some clear ideas about the music they wanted. A First Dance to the Arctic Monkeys Baby I'm Yours followed by another Arctic Monkeys song and an Oasis number. A football megamix in the middle with some classic Toon tunes which went down a storm An impromptu bouquet toss at the end of the night made this one special night for a fantastic couple. Absolutely buzzing night from start to finish. Finishing up the night with a double header from Oasis Absolutely fantastic night and the best way to start married life. Many congratulations to the brand new Mr and Mrs Vaughan. Well a new venue for me this one @newclosefarmevents near Durham with some absolutely superb views from the site of the Teepee.
After some heavy rainfall it made for an interesting climb up the bank but with some advice from the landowner I managed to negotiate the particularly slippy bit. Some of the best and well delivered speeches I've ever heard from friends and family with some fitting tributes to Tom and Issy some funny stories and anecdotes. Working with some of Tom and Issy's guests who improvised the newly formed Issy Pop band and they provided the music for the first dance. A super night in the heart of the Durham countryside and many congratulations and all the very best for your future lives together go to Tom and Issy. As a Wedding DJ I get to visit lots of outstanding venues all across the North East and into North Yorkshire.
The Fig House at Middleton Lodge in Richmond North Yorkshire was the fantastic backdrop and location for Jess and Callum's wedding. The Fig House has a beautiful Walled Garden, with seasonal flowers and gorgeous blooms spilling out onto the borders. Hidden away in the garden is The Fig House, the estate’s recently restored wedding venue, with original brick walls, botanical interiors and one-of-a-kind garden antiques. Floor to ceiling windows and doors fill the space with natural light and provide stunning views of the garden, A first dance to the classic Elvis Presley hit "Can't Help Falling in Love" followed by their backup song Redbone's "Come and Get My Love" a great idea for couple's who are torn between two songs. Lots of requests throughout the night making it a really interactive evening dovetailing nicely with the playlist suggested by Jess and Callum. At the stroke of midnight we also celebrated William's 12th Birthday who was still up and busting moves on the dance floor. An absolutely top drawer night for a fantastic couple in one of the best venues around shame about the fiver for a Lime and Soda ha ha All the very best to the brand new Mr and Mrs Furniss and all the very best for the future Simon and Dominique chose High House Brewery as the venue for their wedding and after party.
They had always dreamed of holding their small intimate wedding under the stars in the open barn. The day started with black clouds and lots of rain but by the evening the clouds has dissipated and the sun came out meaning that the evening wedding reception party could take place as planned in the open barn. Some different music with a distinctively rock and metal theme. A first dance to The Used and Smother Me and finishing the night on Queen with Don't Stop Me Now. Lots of rock and metal throughout the evening with some clubland and an odd spattering of 80's and pop. The night featured Linkin Park, Disturbed, Korn, Soil, Papa Roach, Slipknott, Nickleback and many more beside. The night featured flying kids too ha ha. Super venue with really friendly and helpful staff. A nice night and pleased I brought my coat as it chilled off a little but a great night all round. Congratulations to the new Mr & Mrs Minnis. The lovely Gareth and Lucy chose the fabulous Healey Barn for their wedding reception and evening party.
The first time using the @healeybarn installed p.a. system and it seemed to do the business adequately. A packed night with a cake cutting, first dance, bouquet toss and Sparkler parade outside and the weather just about held out throughout. A first dance to a song from the DMA's the first band that Gareth and Lucy went to see together. Quite a few different requests but if the guests want them and they've not been banned lets give them a whirl including Blueberry Hill, Hillbilly Rock-Hillbilly Roll and Only 16 but they seemed to be well received. Great working alongside @danclarkphotography and Videographer Mcauley Cullen. Many congratulations to the brand new Mr and Mrs Brazier and all the very best for the future. A fabulous night for Reece and Rebecca who celebrated their wedding at Horton Grange Country House Hotel with family and friends. A first dance to the Lighthouse Family's High, a father daughter dance for Gary and Rebecca with to Britney and I'm not a girl not yet a woman and a bouquet toss to the ever popular and very appropriate Beyonce and Single Ladies. Nana Bessie getting in on the action and busting a few moves to her favourite Elvis Presley. Gary turned the night into a karaoke masterclass with renditions of many a classic as the night went on. A good old mix of all sorts to keep everyone happy and the dance-floor bustling all night. The sun even came out for a bit after a rather damp start to the day, all's well that ends well. Many congratulations to a lovely couple Rebecca and Reece the new Mr and Mrs Johnston. A fantastic night raising money for an amazing charity Jessica's Sarcoma Awareness.
A Greatest Showman and Circus themed night with all of the drama and excitement of the Big Top Well done to Trevor, Julie and Nicole and everyone else who contributed towards making this evening such a success at the superb Crowne Plaza in Newcastle. A stunning dance performance by Jess and a tear jerking video tribute put together by Nicole for her sister Jessica who she lost 5 years ago, there wasn't a dry eye in the house. Trevor doing what he does best as the Ringmaster and Greatest Showman. Music and Master of Ceremonies courtesy of yours truly. A total of £10,860.30 was raised on the night through ticket sales raffle tickets, donations and a charity auction. A massive well done to everyone involved in making the night such an unrivalled success. Brian and Angela chose the fabulous Horton Grange Country House Hotel as the location for their wedding reception and as usual it did not disappoint.
The sun came out making it a tremendous day and evening for the guests to enjoy the gardens and patio area when they were at their absolute best. I helped Brian and Angela put together all of the music for their day after a detailed consultation with them and they had some very clear ideas on the music they liked an also some views on what they really didn't want played with Oasis finding their way onto the banned list. Brian and Angela bust some moves to Scooters 4AM just after the first dance much to the delight of their guests. Brian later took to the dance floor with his daughter Tamzin. Some beautiful summer weather greeted the guests at Graham and Lynda's celebration after making a life long commitment to each other allowing the guests to enjoy the fabulous garden and patio area @TheParlourBlagdon.
A lovely evening in this intimate venue providing the perfect backdrop to the party. A First Dance to Lonestar's Amazed. Lots of dancing and singing with some fantastic acrobatics provided by the younger guests. Just a few of the many photo's taken on a lovely warm summers night. Many congratulations to Graham and Lynda showing their love for each other in a way that suited them. Graham and Sarah chose the fantastic Vallum Farm near Matfen in Northumberland as their chosen venue at which to hold their wedding reception and it certainly did not dissapoint. It was an absolute belter of a night at the superb Vallum Farm and a venue you can actually use haze to bring out the best in your lights and add to the atmosphere. It was a hot night outside but even hotter on a packed dance-floor from start to finish. Many thanks to the fabulous Ryan who kicked the evening into gear with his enthusiastic dancing to Steps 5,6,7,8 which even Sarah was happy with after banning Steps from the playlist ha ha. A mix of 90's dance, trance, clubland and pop as well as some classic rock, R&B and indie hit the mark with the wedding revellers. No first dance but the there would have been no last dance if the guests had their way they would have gone all night. Great start to married life for the brand new Mr and Mrs Butterfield Top Top Night! #weddingDJVallumFarm #WeddingDJNorthumberland #WeddingDJCountyDurham Well this Anglo-French collaboration went down a treat as English Jack married his French sweetheart Nora.
They were bound to pick a French inspired venue in the English countryside @LePetitChateau which never disappoints. A real mixed bag of music with Something Old' Something New, Something French, Something Arabic, Something Salsa and Something Rock. As always i pull out all of the stops to make sure that the Bride and Groom have a strong influence over the choice of music I play. A first dance to the Flamingo's "I Only Have Eyes for You" carefully choreographed into the Isley Brothers "That Lady". With a mix of English, Arabic and French guests it was always going to be tricky to bring together the diverse music tastes and boss the dance-floor. Ram Jam made an appearance, Jimi Hendrix, Derek and the Dominoes, Gregory Porter, Fleetwood Mac and some distinctly French, Arabic and Latin vibes were in there too definitely not your average wedding playlist. An Anglo French collaboration the likes of which we have not seen since the development of Concorde and the building of the Channel Tunnel. Many congratulations to a fabulous couple Jack and Nora .... Vive La France. Dan and Caroline fell in love with Woodhill Hall after Caroline and her bestie visited the venue and then told Dan where he was going to get married ... well to be fair Dan loved it as well.
A cracking day from start to finish and the rain held off just long enough to spoil any part of the day. I provided all day music support and Master of Ceremony Services in my own inimitable style. The celebration required 3 separate set ups seamlessly orchestrated to keep the celebration moving along on schedule. Dan and Caroline used every part of the venue to make their wedding extra special with the Elephant Garden being used for guest to gather before the wedding before moving into the Orangery for the Wedding Ceremony and the Wedding Breakfast before moving into the Tepee for the evening wedding reception. The evening wedding reception kicked off with a welcome for the couple into the Tepee followed by a cake cutting and the first dance. John Legend was on hand to provide the music for the first dance with his song Stay With You. There was an absolutely incredible atmosphere throughout the night with the dance-floor rammed from early in the evening through to the early hours of the morning. Dan and Caroline could not have hoped for a better night full of dancing and singing leaving them with some awesome memories of their fantastic wedding celebration. Many congratulations to the brand new Mr and Mrs O'Neill #WeddingDJWoodhillHall #WeddingDJOtterburn #WoodhillHallWeddingDJ #NorthumberlandWeddingDJ #NorthEastWeddingDJ John and Ellie chose the fabulous Ellingham Hall near Alnwick in Northumberland as the location for the wedding ceremony, wedding breakfast and evening wedding celebration.
Despite the predicted rain the sun came out making it a perfect day in so many ways. They chose a cover of You Got a Friend in Me by Amber Leigh Irish as their first dance to get the night underway. Ellie chose to have a dance with her dad also called John to James Taylor "How Sweet it is to be Loved By You". The music for the night consisted of Pop, RnB, Big hits from 2005 - 2010, Indie, Pop, party classics and some Clubland tunes finishing the night with an Oasis Classic after John created his own Champagne Supernova on the dance-floor. An absolutely banging night full of dancing and singing and a great way to celebrate the marriage of this well matched couple. Massive congratulations to the brand new Mr and Mrs Paul all the very best for the future xx Well that Wendt Well.
Fabulous night for Daniel and Sarah who celebrated their wedding in awesome style at Horton Grange. The night kicked of with a big introduction into the evening wedding reception to fantastic applause, a cake cutting and into the First Dance Ed Sheeran's Photograph which we followed up with Santana and Smooth at the request of the Bride and Groom. A good dose of pop, cheese some party classics and a big bunch of requests meant the dance-floor was rocking pretty much from the first dance. Great working alongside the multi talented Dan Clark Photography who showed his youth wasn't wasted on learning the dance moves to Whigfield's Saturday Night which meant he got to lead the guests who had never witnessed such confident moves. Lots and lots of crowd surfing and a bit of advice for the ladies its always best to wear your knickers as you never quite know when you might be thrust into the air against your will. An absolute belter of a night getting married life off to the best possible start for the brand new Mr and Mrs Wendt. After the party Sarah had this to say "I Could not recommend Ian enough, helped make our wedding amazing from start to finish from preparing music for our church ceremony and reception to having the dance floor filled all night. Couldn’t have had the night we did without him he’s given us the best memories and hundreds of pictures to go with it." Well its not a venue that immediately jumps out at you but once inside Northumberland Hall is a magnificent building and very grand indeed unmatched .
Situated in the heart of historic Alnwick, the Grade 1 listed hall was built by the third Duke of Northumberland in 1826 is a beautiful venue to hold your wedding. Dawn and her family had dressed the room themselves and they did an incredible job. Well this one has been a long time coming with Barry and Dawn being together for over 25 years with a grown up family who all played a major part in the day with their daughters lining up as their bridesmaids and 14 year old son Sam stepping up to the plate as Best Man. Proud father Frank walking Dawn down the aisle despite some walking difficulties. Some touching words of thanks from Dawn in an emotional speech. Poignant speeches from some of the couples best friends who known them the majority of their lives. A first dance to John Legend's - All of Me and finishing the night with You'll never walk alone. Situated in the heart of Alnwick Town Centre, Northumberland Hall is right in the market square and without any provision for onsite parking and of course parking restrictions throughout the town centre, loading in and out is a bit of a logistical nightmare for suppliers. Particularly testing on the day of the Northumberland Pride celebrations and road closures in the centre of Alnwick. None of this could stop Barry and Dawn tying the knot after waiting this long. Many congratulations to the brand new Mr and Mrs Newton. Anth and Holly chose the ever popular Le Petit Chateau for their wedding celebration.
A fabulous venue which has everything going for it so you can easily see why its so popular. Acoustic piano music to kick the day off and some carefully selected and edited tunes were chosen for the ceremony. A latin vibe for the drinks reception with the only thing missing a bit of sun. Calming things during the wedding breakfast with a selection of acoustic covers ,,, well that was until the singing waiters turned up to disturb the relative calm and get the party underway. The night kicked off with the cake cutting followed by a first dance to John Legend's You and I A brilliant night of dancing and singing at the Le Petit Chateau for yet another amazing wedding at this fabulous venue. Many congratulations to Anth and Holly one of the many amazing couples I get to work closely with. All the very best for the future to the new Mr and Mrs Henderson Holly had this to say afterwards "Ian thank you so much for being so fantastic! We had the most magical day & we can’t thank you enough for everything you did for us. You went over & beyond ... we are so grateful & we were so lucky to have you!! We can’t recommend you enough. You’re the best DJ ever x" Anthony said this "We booked Ian with the hope of having some good music for the evening element of our wedding reception. What we got what was so much more! Firstly Ian is one of the loveliest people you could ever wish to meet, a real top top guy. Not only did he do a fantastic job of getting everyone dancing on the night time, he helped us with every element of our music throughout the day. Making great suggestions, pulling together playlists, even editing songs to make the timings fit. He was unbelievable - he even let us use his iPad to play the music through the day even without him there! The amount of time and effort Ian put into making sure our day was perfect was just amazing and we cannot recommend him enough. Ian we can’t thank you enough for everything you did for us we were absolutely blown away, and we’ll definitely be using you again. Love Anth and Holly x" Gemma and Ben chose the fabulous Doxford Barns as the location for their dream wedding.
Doxford Barn is a lovely self contained wedding venue with the Threshing Hall where the wedding ceremony is held, the Cart Shed where the drinks reception is held and the Great Barn where the wedding breakfast and evening celebration take place. There's also some nice outside areas if the sun comes out which it did just for Gemma and Ben. Three separate set ups were required as I provided the music for the prelude, wedding ceremony, drinks reception, wedding breakfast and evening wedding reception as well as Master of Ceremony Services Vocalist Ashleigh Humble provided the entertainment during the room changeover with a fabulous acoustic set. Key song choices were:
An entrance in to the wedding breakfast to Simon and Garfunkel - Mrs Robinson A first dance mashup to Lumineers - Hey Ho and Marianas Trench - Stutter to which Ben and Gemma did a fantastic choreographed dance routine much to the delight of their guests. Ending the night with Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes - Had the Time of My Life. An absolutely super day throughout with lots of love in the room for the happy couple. Many congratulations to the brand new Mr and Mrs Robinson. #DoxfordBarnsDJ #AlnwickWeddingDJ #WeddingDJNorthumberland |
