Gemma and Ben chose the fabulous Doxford Barns as the location for their dream wedding.
Doxford Barn is a lovely self contained wedding venue with the Threshing Hall where the wedding ceremony is held, the Cart Shed where the drinks reception is held and the Great Barn where the wedding breakfast and evening celebration take place. There's also some nice outside areas if the sun comes out which it did just for Gemma and Ben.
Three separate set ups were required as I provided the music for the prelude, wedding ceremony, drinks reception, wedding breakfast and evening wedding reception as well as Master of Ceremony Services
Vocalist Ashleigh Humble provided the entertainment during the room changeover with a fabulous acoustic set.
Key song choices were:
An entrance in to the wedding breakfast to Simon and Garfunkel - Mrs Robinson
A first dance mashup to Lumineers - Hey Ho and Marianas Trench - Stutter to which Ben and Gemma did a fantastic choreographed dance routine much to the delight of their guests.
Ending the night with Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes - Had the Time of My Life.
An absolutely super day throughout with lots of love in the room for the happy couple.
Many congratulations to the brand new Mr and Mrs Robinson.

Well this was my first visit to the Plough in Alnwick and it didn't disappoint.
A lovely room with a central staircase for that dramatic bridal entrance with a mezzanine floor giving guests a clear view of the dance-floor area with a nice secluded bar for those wishing for a more relaxed evening.
It's easy to see why John and Paula chose this as their dream wedding venue.
Key songs were Paula's processional song the ever popular Christina Perri and a "Thousand Years" with the American Authors "Best Day of My Life" the song to chosen as the recessional song for the new Mr & Mrs Herron.
A first dance to Aerosmith and "I don't wanna miss a thing" with a bouquet toss to Beyonce and of course "Single Ladies"
A super night for a lovely couple many congratulations to the brand new Mr & Mrs Herron.

Well a first visit for me to the lovely Vallum Farm and it certainly didn't disappoint, and a nice easy load in which is always and bonus and it looked fantastic inside with friendly helpful staff.
Lance and Susan chose this as the venue for their wedding celebration taking advantage of the Tepee to hold an intimate family celebration through the day before moving into the large marquee housed in the barn for their evening celebration.
Daytime play lists prepared and provided via Spotify direct to the venue,
An early start to the evening with a cake cutting and first dance at 6pm to Ed Sheeran and Perfect and finishing the night with Queen and Don't Stop Me Now.
An eclectic mix of music throughout the night chosen by Lance and Susan with a fair few requests thrown into the mix including Johnny B Goode, Car Wash, Calvin Harris, Earth Wind and Fire, Rose Royce, Avicii and more besides.
A fab night for a super couple many congratulations to the brand new Mr and Mrs Allen.
A packed wedding celebration for Mark and Kim last night at Le Petit Chateau featuring Cake, Cutting, First Dance, Bouquet Toss, Father and Daughter Dance and a Mr & Mrs Shoe Game.
And as if that wasn't enough a Mark Giblin Art caricaturist was on hand to sketch the guests at the wedding and a photo-booth to capture guests in some crazy attire.
The sun came out and stayed out despite the forecast predicting a deterioration in the weather.
A First Dance to Lukas Graham - Love Someone and a father and daughter dance with Mark (a different one) to Michael Bolton to the appropriately titled Fathers and Daughters and ending the night with Journey Don't Stop Believing.
Kim looked stunning and Mark scrubbed up well too.
A fabulous night for a lovely couple.
Many congratulations to the brand new Mr & Mrs Ellison and all the very best for the future.
Well what can I say .... a flipping mint night for Paul and Anna at the fabulous Whitworth Hall Hotel complete with a deer park and lake quite stunning.
Processional Song - Here Comes The Sun - The Beatles
Signing the Register - Fleetwood Mac - Songbird and Bright Eyes - First Day of My Life
Recessional Song - Pharrell Williams - Happy (Edited)

A fabulous day capped off with a fabulous evening wedding reception at HIgh House Farm Brewery in the Marquee at the venue.

The wedding ceremony took place in the Barn and the music they chose included:
Processional Song: - James Bay ``Wild Love (Acoustic Version)
Signing the Register:
- Wandering Hearts – Wonder of You

- Rusted Root - Send Me on My Way and

A First Dance to Killers - Shot at The Night and ending the night with Oasis - Don't Look Back in Anger.
A super bouquet toss from the top of the stairs to the restaurant .
Great working alongside Chris from @ChocolateChipPhotography
Evening playlist anything from Motown, 90's Pop, some R&B, Dance Classics and some good old party cheese.
Great venue and got to use a bit of haze too so an added bonus.
Congratulations to the brand new Mr & Mrs Homan
Chris and Laura chose Backworth Hall near Newcastle to tie the knot with its fabulous gardens and views over the golf course.
A great night where everybody got into the spirit of the wedding, anyone would think it was nearly Christmas.
And eclectic mix of music featuring some 90's dance classics, pop and some big hits from the 80's as well as the latest charts.
I supported the couple with all of their music requirements throughout the day including the prelude, ceremony, drinks reception and wedding breakfast.

After getting married in Las Vegas Chris and Laura decided to through a wedding party so their friends and family could celebrate their wedding on home soil.
They chose the fabulous Hedworth Hall to do it providing a fab backdrop to the celebration.
Music included more than your average lashings of Elvis and tracks from the Greatest Showman ... no coincidence their then.
All the very best to the new Mr & Mrs Batson
After doing Chloe's 18th Birthday 3 years ago I was asked back to DJ at her 21st Birthday Party, oh how the time flies.
Not a beach theme this time but a rumble in the jungle.
Lovely venue and superb buffet at Rialto's in Ponteland.
A great night for Chloe surrounded by family and friends with some fantastic outfits on display.
Happy 21st Chloe xx
Steve and Karen chose the very grand Beamish Hall in County Durham, set in fantastic grounds as the dream location for their wedding.
A very personal wedding ceremony for Steve and Karen featuring readings from family and friends and a candle ceremony involving the couple and their respective mothers. Karen was given away by her brother Andrew and the Best Man was the groom's son Tiernan who did a fantastic job.
I assisted throughout the day with the music from the start of the day until the very end of the day along with Master of Ceremony Services.
All of the music for the day had a direct input from the couple.
The processional song was a cover of Koadline's The One by John Adams and Matt Johnson.
The Recessional Song was Karen's late father's favourite song which I edited for maximum effect.
A First Dance to Ellie Goulding's - How Long Will I Love You.
End of the night song was Hermes House Band - Country Roads.
A super day for a fabulous couple.
The sun shone for the perfect backdrop to Ryan and Rebecca's wedding at the fabulous Horton Grange Country House Hotel in Northumberland.
I met with Ryan and Rebecca and prepared a music plan for their whole wedding day.
They started the day as guests arrived with acoustic piano covers.
Then for the ceremony:
For the drinks reception there was a good mix of upbeat celebratory songs including soul, motown and swing
The soundtrack to the wedding breakfast was a mix of acoustic cover songs featuring artists like Boyce Avenue.
The evening celebration got underway with a rousing welcome followed by a cake cutting and First Dance to the Perfect by Ed Sheeran and Beyonce.
A good mix of music ensured there was something for everyone including a song by the Brides brothers group. Mr Brightside a special song for both the Bride and Groom.
Lots of 90's pop and clubland classics also featured and winding up the night as requested to the Dirty Dancing Megamix.
Afterwards Ryan had this to say "Booked Ian for our wedding night time do. He also done all of the music for the entire day and has the added bonus of taking pics on the night time which is a nice way to look back at the party. I cannot recommend him highly enough."
Fantastic night and many congratulations to the new Mr & Mrs Graham

Another fabulous wedding at one of the North East's best and most exclusive wedding venues Newton Hall, Bold, Romantic & Fantastical
A first dance to UB40's Can't help falling in love followed by an eclectic mix of music featuring 90's dance classics, deep house, current charts and a spattering of party classics.
Jim and Elaine were on hand with some good advice after celebrating 41 years of marriage on the same day and rolled back the years with their tune Lionel Richie's Endless Love.
Finishing the night with Hot from Inna.
Congratulations Mr & Mrs Richards

A beautiful venue was chosen by Jamie and Sophie for their wedding which has just benefited from the addition of the fabulous Gazebo where the wedding ceremony was held at Northside Farm.
Everything about the day was perfect the sun even came out and after a 14 hour shift i felt mission accomplished but wrecked at the same time :-)
I provided the music throughout the day including the prelude, ceremony, drinks reception, wedding breakfast and washed hired to DJ at the evening Wedding Reception party. I provided the Master of Ceremony Services throughout to keep the day flowing nicely.
Some unusual touches with a Peaky Blinders theme with the Groom, Ushers and Father of the Bride donning a tweed suit and the familiar Peaky Blinders Caps.
Sophie was accompanied up the Aisle by her dad Mark and their two dalmations.
A processional song of the Peaky Blinders theme Red Right Hand was unusual and a little dark, signing songs from the Brothers Osbourne and Lady Antebellum and an edited recessional for maximum impact from Wandering Hearts "Till the day I die".
Funny and touching speeches by Mark, the groom Jamie, best Man Henry and Jamie's sister Amy.
Sophie suitably embarrassed by the video from yesteryear of her performing with her plastic microphone as Emma Bunton to Stop ... and sang it much the same as her Spice Girl heroine ... badly :-)
A first dance to Chris Stapleton - Tennessee Whiskey as the couple not only enjoy the outdoors but country music too.
A fantastic celebration surrounded by family and friends even Betsy and Blanch had taken a night off from the bingo to be there. Sophie retired early after the day got the better of her.
Good to meet @JamieMacPhotography https://www.facebook.com/JamieMacPhotography/ doing an awesome job behind the camera to surpass my efforts shown here.
Many congratulations to the new Mr and Mrs Crowe. xxx

Hi Ian. Just want to say a huge thank you for making our wedding so fantastic. We danced all night and you went above and beyond for us.
Brilliant night all around with lots of love in the room for the happy couple.
Some fab comments from the couple and guests as well as staff from @HortonGrangeHotel
Many congratulations to the new Mr and Mrs Martino.
Gillian had this to say "Hi Ian. Just want to say a huge thank you for making our wedding so fantastic. We danced all night and you went above and beyond for us."
A midweek trip to the fabulous Eshott Hall a lovely venue that always has a great vibe to it for the wedding of Duncan and Nadiyah.
A small but beautifully formed wedding which didn't fail to disappoint.
With dancing from early doors to the last breath with a range of requests from Mamma Mia the movie, Chris Rea to Cheese and 90's / OO's finishing up with Never Forget and Country Roads.
Congratulations and all the very best to the brand new Mr & Mrs Storey.
After the wedding Duncan had this to say "We booked Ian through recommendation and he really went above and beyond! If you want a professional DJ who really cares about your whole day, then I wouldn’t look anywhere else!"

The bad weather didn't dampen the spirits at Peter and Layla's Wedding with a very different and unique venue.
A surprise processional song was chosen and it certainly was unique ... the theme from Jurassic Park.
A special moving ceremony with contributions from friends and family.
Music throughout the day and a ceilidh thrown into the mix for a wedding with Peter and Layla's stamp all over it.
A Ceilidh Band helped put the couples personality and unique take on their wedding celebration.
The nightmare load in made a whole lot easier with each guest taking a bit of my kit to the trailer as they left.
Fab night for a super couple.
Layla had this to say "Really really great DJ!! Can't recommend Ian enough. I emailed a load of DJs for our wedding and Ian was the only one I was impressed with. He was thorough and he really cared about making the day ours. He gave us help and advice, and although our venue was a little tricky for him to access it didn't stop him! I've had a lot of great comments from our guests about the DJ and the music, so I really can't recommend Ian enough :)"
Well that was a marathon day indeed but so so worth it an awesome celebration from the very start to the finish for the wedding of Ben and Loren Debnam surrounded by their family and friends.
An excellent venue requiring three separate set ups with the ceremony in the orangery, the wedding breakfast in the Tipi and then back to the Orangery for the evening party.
I provided the music and Master of Ceremony services throughout the day as well as the p.a. for speeches.
A carefully orchestrated processional entrance to Christina Perri's A Thousand Years mean the song and the brides entrance was powerful and emotional.
An upbeat introduction into the wedding breakfast also raised the tempo of an already upbeat day.
Some very touching and emotional moments during the speeches and an epic Best Mans speech which overran by around half an hour and will certainly be remembered.
An acoustic singer provided some entertainment after the wedding breakfast creating an opportunity to set up for the evening wedding party in the Orangery.

Fantastic night at a fantastic venue to celebrate the marriage of the new Mr & Mrs Bradley.
St Mary's Heritage Centre adjacent to the Sage in Gateshead was the perfect wedding venue for Stu and Sarah to celebrate their wedding.
I was delighted to be chosen as their DJ and to provide the Disco for the evening.
The evening's proceedings kicked off with a wedding breakfast and speeches before the party got into gear.
A great night of fun and dancing.

Great night celebrating the marriage of David and Natalie at Doxford Barns.
All of David and Natalie's music for the day and evening were put together in conjunction with the couple themselves.
Pretty much a full dance-floor all night right from the off. Super night for a super couple!
David had this to say "Ian loves what he does and makes it look easy. From start to finish he was thorough and communicative. The day went perfectly and thanks to his accommodating approach the day went better than we could have ever imagined. Get him booked for your big day, you won’t be disappointed!"

Absolutely brilliant night at Liam and Claire's Wedding at Healey Barn near Corbridge last night.
I helped prep the music for their daytime needs, put together a couple of alternative mixes for use with the Silent Disco and provided up-lighting for the venue.
Full venue uplighting was also provided creating a beautiful and contrasting pink accent on the venue walls.
The Silent Disco created a really interesting contrast in musical styles and an eerie feel once you took your headphones off to the sound of two groups of people singing along to two different songs at the same time and busting some alternative dance moves.
All good clean fun.
Cracker of a night for a well matched couple in the good looks stakes.
Congratulations to the new Mr & Mrs Kyle.

Awesome celebration from the off to the end, a truly fantastic night for Robyn and Kitson the new Mr & Mrs Broadhurst.
One of those weddings when the couple were just absolutely besotted with each other and that seemed to rub off on everyone else, the atmosphere was electric.
Ellie Sax performing got the night off to an amazing start with everyone getting into the vibe immediately and the illuminated sax being a real quirky talking point.
A fire eating performance outside and a sparkler arch also featured during the nigh
An absolute pleasure to be involved in helping to make the Wedding Celebration Disco so special at Healey Barn, Northumberland.
Robyn had this to say "We had Ian DJ at our wedding on Sunday. He was so professional and lovely. He gave great advice and guidance on the music throughout the whole day even though he was only coming on the evening. He went above and beyond. We would recommend him to anyone. Thanks Ian for an amazing night of dancing!"

A fantastic celebration for a lovely genuine couple surrounded by family and friends.
I provided the music throughout the day from the prelude, Ceremony, Wedding Breakfast, the Drinks Reception in the Elephant Garden, Wedding Breakfast and into the evening party till 1am in the morning.
Barring a very short spot of rain the weather held good.
Three separate set ups as the focus of the day moved from the Orangery into the Elephant Garden and then into the Tipi.
A fantastic day with some very touching moments reducing the vast majority of people there myself included to tears ... amazing the power of Gregg's 12 year old sons witty and confident speech.
Amazing day from start to finish and many congratulations to Mr & Mrs McNeil.
Emily had this to say "Thank you Ian for making our day so special! From the moment we met you we loved you and we are so grateful for helping us plan our music for our wedding, from walking down the aisle to partying in the Woodhill tepee, it was perfect! Great DJ, great music, great guy! "
After a wedding in Las Vegas Marc and Natalie continued the celebrations with a party for family and friends at the BALTIC Centre For Contemporary Art at Gateshead Quays.
A specially prepared mix of the couple's first dance hit the mark.
A make shift bouquet from the front of my DJ Booth saved the day for the bouquet toss.
A cracking night with a strong emphasis on R&B, House and some clubland classics.
Congratulations to the new Mr & Mrs Bainbridge.
"I can’t recommend Ian enough! From the moment we met and discussed our playlist we knew he’s was going to be great! From mixing our first dance to make it unique for us to playing every song we asked for and more! Also the pictures Ian took through the night captured some special moments for us! Thanks so much Ian you made our night" Natalie Bainbridge
A small intimate wedding for Charlie and Becky at the fabulous Le Petit Chateau in Otterburn.
An eclectic mix of music with Sam Cooke - Nothing can change this love as a first dance tune.
The sparkler send off was unfortunately cancelled due to fire safety concerns but the night had more than enough sparkle anyway.
"Ian was fantastic from start to finish and really made the night with an ecletic mix of genres. I would highly recommend Ian for any Party or Wedding. Thank you for rocking our Wedding!"
